About Veena

I have over 20 years of experience in the global consumer goods sector, with senior roles at Diageo and PepsiCo as well as advisory and entrepreneurial experience in high-growth FMCG ventures. At Diageo I ran a £55 million business unit with full P&L responsibility and led the launch of a greenfield operation in Mozambique. I also turned around a £100 million revenue beverage business, delivering margin improvement. Earlier in my career at PepsiCo I worked in finance, where I brought a strong strategic lens to sales and marketing and R & D initiatives.

My career spans large multinationals, entrepreneurial start-ups, family-owned businesses and advisory work with founder-led SMEs, giving me a breadth of experience in both scaling and sustaining consumer brands. I am a qualified ACCA accountant and hold an MBA from INSEAD.

Originally from India, I have lived and worked across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, North America and Europe, which strengthened my adaptability and ability to connect with people across different cultures. Having lived in the UK for nearly 20 years, I am now focused on acquiring and operating a privately owned FMCG business in UK or Republic of Ireland. My goal is to act as a long-term steward for a company with strong foundations, ensuring continuity for employees, customers, and suppliers while building for the future.

I have led teams since I was 21 and believe in empowering people to do their best.

My approach will be to build on the strengths that already make the company successful, adding process and operational rigour alongside financial discipline where it supports sustainable growth. I will work with teams to protect what is distinctive, keep the organisation agile, and create the conditions for long-term performance.
